How to convert a PDF to JPG images

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Images are easier to share in chat apps, presentations and social media than PDFs. Converting a PDF to JPG gives you one image for each page.

Which resolution should I choose?

  • 72 DPI: small files for screens, chat apps and previews.
  • 150 DPI: a good balance for documents, presentations and websites.
  • 300 DPI: sharp images for printing or zooming in on fine details.

JPG or PNG?

JPG gives smaller files and is ideal for photos and scans. PNG keeps text and line drawings perfectly sharp and supports large flat areas of colour, but files are larger.

Step by step

  1. Open the PDF to JPG tool and select your PDF.
  2. Choose the image format and resolution.
  3. Click Convert to images. A single page downloads as one image; several pages download together in a ZIP file.
