The service

compare2pdf is a free, browser-based tool for comparing PDF documents, editing fillable form fields and exporting the results. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

Your files

Your files are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to open, edit and share the documents you use with the tool.

Accuracy of results

Comparison results are produced automatically and may not detect every difference. For example, changes inside images, scanned pages or purely visual layout changes may be missed. Always review important documents yourself. compare2pdf does not provide legal, financial or professional advice.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site for unlawful purposes, try to disrupt or overload it, interfere with its security or advertising, or copy the site in a way that misleads people about its origin.

Intellectual property

The compare2pdf name, logo, design and original code belong to compare2pdf. The tool uses open-source software, including pdf.js (Apache License 2.0) and pdf-lib (MIT License), which remain subject to their own licences.

Advertising and links
